1890 Texas Federal Census Schedules were destroyed by fire with the exception of a small fragment of Ellis
County, Hood County, Rusk County and Kaufman County..
1890 Texas Veteran and Widows Census Schedules did survive and can be used to some extent as a census substitute.
Greer County, Texas became Greer County, Oklahoma.
There were boundary disputes and the boundary lines kept changing. Special
