Pennsylvania Census Notes:

1798 Pennsylvania Tax Records (known as the Pennsylvania Glass or Window Tax) is a helpful tool as it contains many persons not found in the 1800 Federal Pennsylvania census records.

Federal Pennsylvania Census Records are available to the public for census years: 1790, 1800, 1810, 1820, 1830, 1840, 1850, 1860, 1870, 1880, 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930.

1800 Federal Pennsylvania Census Records are missing part of Westmoreland County.

1810 Federal Pennsylvania Census Records are missing some parts of Bedford, Cumberland & Philadelphia Counties.

1890 Federal Pennsylvania Census Records were totally destroyed by fire, but the Veterans and Widows Schedule did survive and is helpful as a census substitute.

There are not any Pennsylvania State Census Records.
