Most of the 1800, 1810 and 1820 New Jersey Federal census schedules were lost. All that survived are census schedules for 1800 Cumberland County and 1820 Roxbury & Morris Counties. See 1790-1940 US Census Records at Ancestry.

The NJ 1890 Veterans and Widows schedules did survive the fire and can provide somewhat of a census substitute for this time period. See 1890 Veterans Schedules at Ancestry.
