Idaho

(Territory: 1863.  Statehood: 1890)

Previous to 1863, Idaho was part of the Oregon Territory.  Originally, included in Idaho Territory was most of Wyoming and all of Montana.  Montana became it's own territory a year later in 1864 and Wyoming in 1868.  These can be important facts when searching for ancestors in this area of the United States.
