The Hilltop Historical Society is focused on the preservation and promotion of the history and culture of the Hilltop area of Ohio.  Activities include Camp Chase Re-enactment and living history re-enactments, preservation of the Central Ohio Psychiatric Hospital artifacts and the walking tour to Camp Chase Confederate Cemetery.  Contact Lt. Canal Winchester Area Historical Society Complex

The Canal Winchester Area Historical Society operates a complex of buildings which include: 

  • The One-Room Prentiss School located at 10 West Oak Street in Canal Winchester, OH.

  • The Hocking Valley "Queen of the Line" Railroad Depot with two cabooses under renovation located at 96 North High Street.

  • The O. P. Chaney grain elevator located at 40 West Oak Street.

  • Civil War monument honoring Private Alfred Cannon. 

The society is focused on the collection, preservation and maintenance of historical records, data, property and other items related to the heritage of Canal Winchester, OH.

Central Ohio Fire Museum & Learning Center

The 1908 Fire Station #16 has been restored and features a museum of historic fire fighting equipment and antique fire engines and pumpers along with a learning center for all to learn about fire safety.  Located at 260 N. Fourth Street in Columbus, OH.

Doll Museum at the Old Rectory

The historical Ealy House built ca 1860, is home to the New Albany-Plain Township Historical Society and their museum featuring historical artifacts and items related to the history of the New Albany-Plain Township are of Ohio.  The Ealy House is a Civil War-Era farmhouse that has been restored with historic authenticity.  Located at 6359 Dublin-Granville Road in New Albany, OH.

Early Television Foundation and Museum

The Harding Museum

The Reynoldsburg-Truro Historical Society Museum

The museum is devoted to preserving and disseminating the knowledge of the history of Reynoldsburg, Ohio and the surrounding areas.  Housed in an 1850s historical home which has been restored, the museum features historical artifacts and antique items related to the heritage of Reynoldsburg along with a great collection of historical documents.  .Located at 1485 Jackson Street in Reynoldsburg, OH.

The Heritage Museum

Housed inside the International Headquarters of Kappa Kappa Gama Fraternity, the Heritage Museum occupies three rooms of the historic Italianate style mansion.  Known as the Snowden-Gray mansion on the National Register of Historic Places, the museum features exhibits and furnishings which reflect the history of the building, it's former occupants and the history of Columbus.  Located at 530 East Town Street in Columbus, OH.

Jeffers Mound

Jeffers Mound is a prehistoric mound believed to have been built by the Hopewell people between 100 BC and AD 400.  Much archaeological excavating has taken place at the site.  Located at the crest of the hill where Plesenton Drive diverges from Olentangy River Road just north of Route 161.

Jubilee Museum and Catholic Cultural Center

The 1860s Kern-Harrington House was previously the home of the New Albany-Plain Township Historical Society and their museum.  The house is historically significant but the society has moved the museum into the Ealy House.  Located at 107 E. Granville Street in Plain Township, Franklin County, OH.

Orange Johnson House Museum
