Hotel de Paris Museum
Operated by
the National Society of the Colonial Dames of America in
Colorado, the museum building was once known as Delmonico
Bakery. It was opened as the Hotel de Paris in 1875
and operated as a hotel or boarding house until 1939.
In 1954 the building was rehabilitated and became a meeting
place of the Colonial Dames and their display of exhibits.

Molly Brown House Museum

Born to Irish
immigrant parents, Margaret Tobin Brown was well known as a
survivor of the Titanic tragedy and also known as the
Unsinkable Molly Brown. The 1880s house was home to
James Joseph Brown and wife Molly Brown. Molly lived
in the house until 1932. Upon her death, the house was
owned by various owners and at times rented out to roomers.
Today the house has been restored and includes period
furnishings. Located at 1340 Pennsylvania Street in

This lovely old home was built in 1873 by
Major Henry McAllister, Civil War veteran and early pioneer
of Little London (Colorado Springs). Visitors can take
a step back in time to Victorian elegance which has
been recreated by the National Society of Colonial Dames of
America in Colorado. Fully restored and filled with
period furnishings, the home is open for special events and
by appointment for private groups. Also available for

surviving homesteads in the Fraser Valley, the Cozens Ranch
House is all that remains of the once thriving 700 acre ranch

Heritage Park Museum
Featuring a two
story log homestead built ca 1885, the museum is operated by the

Pioneer Village Museum

Francisco Fort Museum
This adobe
structure built in 1862 was the first settlement in the
Upper Cuchara Valley. This old fort has served as a
business center, apartments and even a private residence
until it was purchased in 1957 by the Town of La Veta for
use as a historical museum. Today, visitors will find
many early artifacts of the area with trained docents who
tell the stories of the early pioneers and Indians of

Walsenburg Mining Museum
Housed inside an old 1896 county jailhouse, the museum
features exhibits and artifacts which relate the story of
coal mining in Walsenburg and the people who lived there in
mining camps. Other exhibits include the county jail

oldest remaining buildings in Colorado. Later known as
part of the famous way station Cold Springs Ranch. The

adventurer. He is known as the "Father of Rocky

Timberlane Farm Museum [History]
Originally
homesteaded by Judge W. B. OSBORN, the farm started with a small
log cabin in 1861. The farm became known as Timberlane
Farm in 1882. It was operated by members of the Osborn family
until 1973 and in fact the museum property is still in the
family. The museum features two of the Timberlane Farm
homes in period correct condition and visitors can learn what
life was like in a late 1800s household without modern
conveniences like electricity and running water. This
living history museum is open for tours and demonstrations and
is located at 2306 E. 1st Street in Loveland, CO.

features an exhibit on the life and art of Tom Benton, the

original freight depot and warehouse which was built in 1924 for
the Denver & Rio Grande Western Railroad, the museum is focused
on the history and heritage of the southeastern region of

Union Depot at 201 West B Street in Pueblo, CO.

A Museum of Industry & Culture
This new museum will
be housed in the beautiful mission style building that served as
headquarters for the Colorado Fuel and Iron Corporation of
Pueblo, CO. Phase 1 of this museum is currently open in
the Historic 1901 Medical Dispensary Building. The msueum
features exhibits related to all facets of the CF&I.
Visitors will learn about the history of mining, steel
production, railroad history and the history of Pueblo and
Colorado. Operated by the Bessemer Historical Society, the
museum is located at 215 Canal Street in Pueblo, CO. Take
I-25 to Exit 97A, left on Abriendo, then 3 blocks.
