Arkansas Census Notes Arkansas was originally part of Missouri Territory between 1812 and 1819. In 1819 when Arkansas Territory was established, it did include present day Oklahoma. Remember this when you search for Arkansas census records & Oklahoma ancestors. Arkansas State Census Records were taken in the following years: 1823, 1829, 1865 and 1911. None of these Arkansas state censuses include every resident of Arkansas as they are incomplete. See 1819-1870 Arkansas Census Records at Ancestry.
