Arizona Census Records Notes:

1860 Territorial Census of New Mexico includes what is now Arizona.

1864, 1866, 1867, 1870 & 1880 Territorial Census Records of Arizona are available to the public.

Arizona Federal census records are available to the public for census years 1900, 1910, 1920 and 1930.  All of these census records are included in Arizona Census Records, 1831-80 at Ancestry.

Arizona soundex: There are soundex indexes for census years 1900 and 1920.  There are not any soundex indexes for Arizona  census years 1910 and 1930.

Arizona state census records are available in partiality for years: 1866, 1867, 1869, 1872, 1874, 1876, 1880 and 1882.  Many of these are included in Arizona Census Records, 1831-80 at Ancestry.

Arizona school census records beginning in the 1870s can offer help in some areas  These are very spotty but if you find one in the area you are seeking can turn up some genealogical gems.

Arizona Great Registers are indexes of voters and some do exist for the 1890s in Cochise and Graham Counties of Arizona Territory.  These can prove helpful as an 1890 AZ census substitute.
