It is with profound thanks to and the support of the Post 1901 Census Project, access is now available to the 1911 Canadian census records! Many rallied and worked with diligence to have these records released to the public.
The 1911 Census of Canada contains census records for the provinces of Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, Quebec and Saskatchewan. It is currently only searchable by geographic location, not by family name. The fact is, we have access to the records, but without indexing it will be a true search indeed.
You will find the 1911 census online at http://www.collectionscanada.ca/archivianet/1911/index-e.html The 1911 Census Index is almost complete and online at Automated Genealogy. You will find links to Canadian census records for other years and all provinces in our directory of Canadian Census Records.
Good Luck in your Canadian ancestral research.
